Has your life been affected by Cancer? Would you like to join a club that is centered on helping kids, teens and their families that are affected by Cancer? HOPE Helping Others Protecting Each other may be a club to help to support you, your family, and other families. The money raised from all of our events helps us work in conjunction with the Pickerington Community, Make-A-Wish, and supporting local families in many different ways. If this sounds like a club you are interested in joining, stop by and see Ms.Salzer in Room 102/506. HOPE will be meeting Mondays after school in the Big Study Hall.

Our 3rd annual Breast Cancer game was held on Friday, October 10th, with all donations benefiting The Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research. Club HOPE thanks you for helping us to raise $1794 this year. This brings our 3 year total to $5,757!
Breast Cancer Awareness game totals: 2014-2015 School Year $1794 2013-2014 School Year $2400 2012-2013 School Year $1563.51 3 year total with all proceeds going to the Stefanie Spielman fund: $5,757! Officer Duties:
President: Conduct and preside general meetings as well as board meetings. Delegate activities Officer Duties and jobs accordingly. Communicates with officers, advisor, and committee chairs. Keeps the Club active and running smoothly. Vice-President: Act as president's right hand. Conduct and preside general meetings upon the absence of President. Assist all officers in every way possible. Will be in charge of recording members' hours, as well as other listed responsibilities. Secretary: Record weekly minutes for meetings. Attendance at meetings is very imperative. Have all records up to date and in good order. Treasurer: Collect members dues and in charge of filling out member roster, have accurate knowledge of the club's budget and financial status. Fills out financial reports for the club. To put it simply, is in control of the club's money, its collection and disbursement. Editor: The role of club editor is that of a public relations officer. The editor makes sure the public is informed about the service Club HOPE renders. The club editor needs to work alongside the secretary to be an informed officer and to use the correct and necessary information for newsletters, fliers, bulletins, and publicity. Club editors have the role of making Club HOPE known within the community and the school. |
